Anna-Marie Joubert
Anna-Marie Joubert was born and raised in South Africa. She has a Masters Degree in Trusts and Estate Planning. Before emigrating to Canada in 2000, she practiced law in partnership with her husband in Barberton, Mpumalanga, for 17 years. She has extensive experience in real estate matters, deceased estate planning and administration, and corporate/commercial matters.
In Canada she re-qualified as a lawyer by serving one year of articles in Calgary, and was called to the Alberta Bar in 2006. She also worked at the Calgary Office of the Public Trustee as a trust officer for 6 years, dealing with deceased estates, dependent adult matters, and the estates of minors.
Anna-Marie has always been very involved in community activities. She served as a municipal councilor in Barberton for 8 years, and was involved with the Barberton Rotary Club for several years. She has volunteered as committee member for many organizations, including the local law society and a charity Children’s Trust. She continues to volunteer in the educational and sports activities of her four children.
